False Expectations Appearing Real

Fear, it really does mean: False Expectations Appearing Real.  We let others tell us things, and we forget a simple rule about human beings: everyone loves to gossip.  And gossip is only good if the story has been embellished.  Real life is never as entertaining or exciting, or scandalous, as we like to believe it is, or as the main stream media tells us it is.  And for the last year and a half, the main stream media has been telling us that Donald J. Trump, is the worst thing to happen to this country since the civil war.  We've been told that he's a sexist, a rapist, a racist, a homophobe, a xenophobe, a tax dodger, and every term for dishonest that's ever been invented.

Dishonest Anti-Trump video Debunked

Those are the false expectations that we've been given of the man, let's talk about the reality of the man.  Donald Trump is a billionaire, he has over 700 highly successful business to his credit, he has made successful business deals with people all over the world.  But I think most tellingly, he has successfully raised a family.  Yes he's been married more than once, and even he admits that's not the greatest thing, and likely due to his obsessive work ethic, but his children love him, and by all accounts they have grown to be respectable adults in their own right.  Trump employed the first woman to ever be put in charge of building a skyscraper.  Trump's campaign manager was the first woman to ever run a successful presidential election campaign.  Trump's companies employ thousands of people, and many of the executives of those companies are women and minorities.

I could try and flood you with newspaper clippings, and video bites, and all kinds of personal testimonies from people who have known Trump personally, but that would take too much time, and too much space.  You wouldn't read or watch it all anyway.  And my goal is not to try and convince you to like the man, and it's certainly far too late for me to convince you to vote for him.  No my goal is simply to point out how there is a difference between what is really going on in the world, and what is going on on tv, even when it's on what we like to call a "news" program.  It's been an emotional and exhausting time for the whole country.  Things have been said, and done, by all sides.  But the fact of the matter is that Donald Trump is now our president elect, and in all likelihood, he will be inaugurated as our 45th president on January 20th, 2017.  Yet despite this fact, the earth is still spinning on it's axis, the sun is still the center of our solar system, and time continues to function in a linear fashion.  For those of you that are afraid, because of all the things you've been told about Trump, I ask, nay implore, you to do your own research.  If you're reading this post, you have access to google.  Look up the things that Trump has done, look up what was being said about him BEFORE he decided to run against the democrat party, look up his policies and very carefully read the entirety of the specifics, not just the broad stroke generalizations used by the media.  But most of all, take a deep breath, and remember that history is on your side.  Tyrants fall, corruption is fought, and criminals are imprisoned.  Nothing lasts forever, except perhaps the underlying goodness of man and the fact that it always defeats evil in the end.
